It’s only the second month of 2012 and yet my recent experiences has made me view life in a totally different angle.

Late January, I lost a friend. One that I had long not communicated with. One that I wished I had stayed in touch.

Gone too soon. His passing made me realize that life is too short to hassle with petty issues such as retail wants or psychotic old ladies. So I decided to ignore or eliminate unnecessary stress causes and appreciate the better things in life such as friends and family that loves me for who I am.

Come February, I found out that another old friend was very ill. Hence, I made it a point to visit him.

Again, my outlook on life took a dramatic change. I realized that there are so many things that we take for granted. Now, not a day goes by that I don’t thank my Creator for blessing me with good health. I appreciate the ability to do things on my own. Heck I’m even thankful for being able to swallow food.

I don’t want to go much into detail about my friend, as I’m not sure how comfortable his family would be about it. Suffice to say that I’m going to visit as often as I can,  even if just to say hi. Just to lift his spirits a little.

This is a rambling post at its best. I honestly don’t know head or tail of what I’m trying to say. One thing to share though. Always make a point to say hello to friends and family, even if it is just a one word text message. Because you never know, one day, it might be too late and they’ll never know, that you actually care.
